Fareham 3s played a fantastic game against Southampton 5s this morning resulting in another solid 8-1 win. It was another boiling game despite the 10am start, and we made the game harder for ourselves by running and overheating around rather than using easy passes, but despite this we played really well. We had a couple of very new players, who had a great introduction to the game with us (thank you for playing - looking forward to seeing you again at training!). We kept our structure very well, and this helped us to dominate the first half of play. Our second half was much more evenly matched, with Southampton stepping up their game, but we kept our heads and kept control of the game.
Girl of the game this week was Hannah, and DoD defaulted to captain Rhiannon, as no one else fell over or did anything silly (unacceptable.)
Thanks to Jo for umpiring for us and to the kitchen for the delicious post hockey teas.
Let's keep playing as beautifully for the season starting next week!!
