U12 Girls make it 6 wins from 6 games

School holidays are always a difficult time to have fixtures and a number of the squad were unavailable for the game against Winchester. Three players made their debut for the U12s this week; Poppy, Chloe and Bo - well done to all of you. We also welcomed back Lauren who has returned after recovering from injury. Whilst Lauren had recovered from her injury she managed to injure her eye - the U12s have (hopefully for only a short time) their very own pirate!

Whilst Winchester haven't had a great season, they do have some strong (and very tall!) players and we were expecting a tough game. Both sides started strongly and there was action at both ends. Winchester scored first after a long ball broke through the Fareham defences. The girls kept their heads up though and within a couple of minutes Izzy had equalised.

The second period started with another goal for Winchester but Fareham were starting to have more chances. After two close chances, Pippa equalised again for Fareham a few minutes before the end of the period.

The last period had an action packed ending. Pippa scored to take Fareham into the lead. Only two minutes later, Winchester equalised - the game was back on, Fareham were eager for the win! The girls kept their shape and with 3 minutes to spare, Molly scored to once again take the lead. Fareham quickly reorganised the team to strengthen the defence and secured the win.
