Clinics for high performing juniors launch on Friday 11th October

Fareham Juniors are looking to take their experienced junior players to the next level with the launch of Advanced Training Clinics. Coaches Nigel Cook and Gordon Scott will be running Friday evening sessions for high performance players replacing Fareham Hockey Academy activities.

The clinics will be focussing on development of more specialist hockey skills to ready players for success at higher activities such as England Hockey Performance Centres. Training will be individually focussed and tailored - players needs change and the training will evolve accordingly. Training will be themed each week. The weekly theme may not be required by some players, players many choose to not attend that week. Coaches are looking to use video analysis to help players perfect some of their hockey skills

The sessions are focussed towards high performing players in U12 and U14 teams. The sessions will not be as 'game based' as age group training. Players are expected to actively participate with solutions to problems, acceptance of coaching, and a professional attitude.

Players considering attending these clinics should be, or around, Academy Centre (AC) standard. If players are not at AC standard but think that they would benefit from attending, please contact Nigel or Gordon to discuss joining the sessions.

Clinics will run on selected Fridays from 1930 to 2100
